Falasarna beach

The well-known Falasarna beach is the westernmost point of the coast of Gramvousa and is located 59 km west of the city of Chania and 17 km west of the city of Kissamos.

Falassarna beach is one of the most famous in Greece and has been awarded as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe. It extends in a very large sandy area and the main beach is very organized with umbrellas and canteens where you can get essentials.

As you get off the car you notice that the sand is white and gives the water a white-blue hue, which in combination with the wind gives you the impression that you are in an exotic bay. This beauty is not “uninsured” as the Natura protection program needed it as a protected area.

If you are a romantic soul you should wait for the sunset because it is considered one of the best in Crete due to the enchanting landscape and the endless horizon.
