Kissamos

Kissamos (or Kastelli) is the largest city and capital of the province of Kissamos and is located in the northwestern part of Crete, 42 km from the city of Chania.

A pole of attraction for thousands of visitors, especially in the summer, thanks to the ability to combine many things.

The huge history, the gorges, the caves, the picturesque villages and the beaches that are unique in beauty and the new port that has direct transport with Gramvousa and the Peloponnese, are some of the things that make Kissamos (or Kastelli) a favorite destination.

It is often referred to by two names Kissamos – Kastelli and this is due to the Venetian castle that dominates the city.

The jewel of the area of ​​Kissamos is the lagoon of Balos, located at the cape of Gramvousa.
