The tombs of the Venizelos
In the eastern part of the Cape are the tombs of the Venizelos. A beautiful park has been built around the tombs, under the shade of the pines, with gardens, cobbled floors, stairs, terraces and incredible views of the city of Chania.
Tombs
Opposite each other, the tombs of Eleftherios Venizelos and his son Sophocles have been built. It is worth noting that in the tomb of Eleftherios Venizelos his speech has been written in iron letters, in the Greek parliament in April 1932.

The statue of liberty
On February 9, 1897 (Akrotiri revolution) Spyros Kayaledakis raised the Greek flag against the shells of the great powers using his body as a pole. The statue of liberty was built in his honor, symbolizing the struggle for freedom by the Cretans.
